ABOUT ANDREW GRAY
Revolutionizing Sports Performance:
A Leader’s Journey to Innovation and Excellence
I founded Athletic Data Innovations (ADI) with a vision to help high-performance practitioners make the most of athlete tracking technology. Drawing on over 25 years of experience as a High-Performance Manager, Physiotherapist, Strength & Conditioning Coach, Sports Scientist, and Software Developer, I’ve worked in professional team sports and health tech across multiple codes internationally.
Since 2009, I’ve dedicated myself to developing ADI as a platform that delivers advanced sports analytics. By integrating with any athlete tracking system, ADI addresses the limitations of traditional methods, offering insights into multidirectional movement that are critical in field sports. With AI-powered precision, ADI supports teams in making data-driven decisions that can give them a competitive edge.
I’ve been fortunate to work in a variety of roles, High-Performance Manager for NSW State of Origin, and High-Performance Consultant for the St George Illawarra Dragons. Past roles, such as Physical Performance Manager for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks, gave me the opportunity to lead teams and contribute to significant achievements, including the Sharks’ first NRL Premiership in 2016.
My pro sport career began with 16 rewarding years at the St George Illawarra Dragons, where I advanced from Senior Physiotherapist to Performance Director, contributing to their first NRL Premiership in 2010. These experiences have shaped my commitment to creating environments where athletes and teams can perform at their best.
With ADI, my aim is to address the real challenges faced by practitioners and enhance how we analyze and understand athletic performance. It’s a project that reflects my passion for continuous learning and my dedication to supporting others in reaching their potential.
